A number of these beings came to Earth with their master eons ago. Most slumber restlessly alongside him in sunken R'lyeh, below the ocean’s waters, but a few have slipped loose and can be summoned by the mightiest mystics—especially among the deep ones and those who worship Cthulhu, Dagon, or Mother Hydra. Star Spawn can be enticed to manifest but cannot truly be controlled, unleashing reality-warping magic with a mere thought.
